Day 2 of Bird Week started with a dawn walk around the resort, through a
wallum area and out onto the beach, during the walk I managed to sight;

Magpie Larks
Welcome Swallows
Willy Wagtails
Spangled Drongos
Grey Shrike Thrush
White Throated Honeyeaters

Lewins Honeyeaters
After the short walk I joined up for the 3 hour hike through native forest
with the return journey back along the beach and managed to get the
following;

Dusky Honeyeaters
Rufus Whistler (male)
Mistletoebirds
Brown Thornbills
Whipbird (Heard)
White Faced Heron
Brown Honeyeaters
White-breasted Woodswallows

Pied Oystercatchers
Tree Martins
Terek Sandpipers
White-Bellied Sea-eagle
Striated Pardalote
Crested Tern
Whistling Kites
Pied Cormorant
Brahminy Kite

Horsfield's Bronze Cuckoo (another new one for me!)
Shining Flycatcher (F) - yet another new bird
Grey Goshawk - another new bird to finish off the day.
I also went on the night tour into the rainforest to search for owls but
unfortunately we didn't find any - but we did hear an Owlet Nightjar and a
group of Sulpher Crested Cockatoos calling, the only wildlife we actually
saw were Fruit Bats, Little Red Fruit Bats, some sort of Glider, an eel in a
creek and a few trapdoor spiders.
