Greetings,
Some strange things have happened since the cyclone. Yesterday in my garden
some 800 metres from any real rainforest a Whipbird was scrounging in the
leaf litter, a Spotted Catbird was feeding on cherry tomatoes in the vege
patch, a Black Duck was sitting on eggs near the base of a tree and a young
black Dingo trotted out of the flower farm across the road and through my
neighbours paddock to the creek.
A Dollarbird was seen yesterday in what would normally be the middle of the
rainforest but it is rather open at the moment.
Tree-roos and possums which survived the first month and the cyclone now
seem to be doing OK.
