Hi all,

Ducked down to Oxley Creek Common on the weekend for a walk to Pelican
Lagoon and was lucky enough to see the Yellow-billed Spoonbill mentioned a
week or two back. It was feeding in concert with a Royal Spoonbill in the
lagoon on the right before Pelican Lagoon, and I was intrigued to see a very
noticable size difference, with the Yellow-billed being much larger.

Other highlights included a Nankeen Kestral, Black-shouldered Kite,
Australian Hobby, and Brown Falcon, plus a solitary Little Egret chasing the
spoonbills around (which brought back fond memories of watching the Little
Egret/Royal Spoonbill pairings out on the mudflats in Broome).

Regards,
Chris
