Well Done to Lorne Johnson on an excellent radio interview this
afternoon!!! I would not have done a better job myself. Lorne certainly
did well in adding a bit of humour to it to not just make such an
interview a straight serious one.

It is certainly great medium to spread the birding hobby to others and
given publicity to our local bird clubs and birding-aus.

Lorne's imitations of the Powerful and Sooty Owls and the Wompoo Pigeon
were great too.

The legendary Sean Dooley got a good mention for his recent excellent
achievement (700 plus birds in a year)and myself with regards to my
knowledge on bird calls.

The interview concluded with Lorne mentioning it was time to head back
to the swamp! Now that is what I call a serious birdo!

For those in Sydney who are interested... I will be talking about birds
and birdwatching on 2SER FM 107.3 tomorrow, Friday 3rd, from 6pm. Should
be a light-hearted thing, with anecdotes, bird immitations etc.

Tune in!

Lorne
