I'd  think any leafy park with fig trees around inner Sydney would be a
good bet.  Just before dawn (say 5:45) seems to be the calling peak at
the moment - although there was a male koel'ing fairly vigorously this
morning at 10:00am.  "wurroo" and (female) "keek" calls are about as
frequent as "koel" calls around here now.

On the topic of Koels - has anyone seen a Koel lay and if so were other
Koels present?
