I've heard some crazy rumours that Power Generating Windmills are terrible for birds, particularly migrating birds. Has anyone seen any studies or have an opinion on the subject? It seems silly to me, most birds are pretty intelligent, easily smart enough to avoid a large stationary object, and those not intelligent enough (I reckon the Crested Pigeons near my house would struggle) are shy enough to just stay away from something so foreign and noisy.
