Dan Mantle and I spent a pleasant couple of hours at Sherwood Arboretum (Brisbane) early this morning (5/1). Brisbane had some rain overnight, and the sky was still overcast. We had good views of White-throated Needletails (~40) and Fork-tailed Swifts (~30) circling overhead. Dan also spotted a Buff-banded Rail with 4 small chicks down near the river.
