I've
seen a raven kill a pigeon (similar size)

at Hattah/Kulkyne NP in NW Vic last weekend (more details to come!) I witnessed
a lone Australian Raven perched on a water tank in the Lake Mournpall
campground. It then swooped onto the ground and became involved in a tussle on
the ground with something as though it were attacking a very mobile prey. After
probably no more than 5 seconds the ?prey? ran out of the grass toward me - a
