I agree with Andrew and Anthea. As in "Rose hiller"
(inhabitant of Rose Hill). That the suburb was named after Rosella makes
little sense. And where would "Rosella" have earlier come from. Though I
have for years wondered why there were roses on that hill, back then. Though
with these messages, it seems Rose Hill was named after a person, not a
garden plant. Mystery solved. Since then the name has spread to a group of
parrot species that share particular plumage patterns.
