Dear Everyone,

I have some friends over from the UK in early December and we will be staying at Strahan in Tasmania for 3 nights as part of the itinerary.

Have already done one Tassie trip and seen all the endemics but 2 birds we haven't caught up with yet are Ground Parrot and Masked Owl, both of which are reportedly easier to see in Tas than anywhere else.

Has anyone got recent and reasonably precise details of where to see these two tough species (I know about Strahan Airfield in a rough sort of way but no detailed advice of exactly how to access or how to go about searching for Ground Parrot, for instance)?

All assistance gratefully received.

Cheers

Tim
