It appears that it's a rivalry against anyone who mentions the weather
as well.

Apologies to the Victorians - your turn to gloat next week.
Did I say something about a HHB - WOW rivalry developing?
Mick wrote "But the way I look at it, looking at the past two years
totals - HHB (220+227) & WOW (218+229)...it's 447 each!"
Mick neglects to mention that WOW had victories in 2001, 2002 and 2003
which I'm sure means that we must surely be ahead on the points table.
I'd be extremely interested in knowing what the TOTAL species tally
across all teams might be. While HHB and WOW have similar species
counts we are both keenly aware that the routes are different and that
we do pick up different birds. Perhaps we should be looking for a
corporate (?) sponsor that would be prepared to sponsor the total
species seen by all teams. We could well be looking at 300 species.
At $10 a species????
