Today at the entrance of 'The Living Desert Syposium', 8km north of Broken Hill, there were numerous male Rufous Songlark singing madly. When I hopped out of my car to inverstigate I found 4 Crimson Chat, a number of Chirruping Wedgebill and a male White-winged Fairy Wren in brilliant plumage.
Does anyone have any information on Rufous Songlark and their migratory patterns? What time of year do they generally show up in southern parts of the country?
Andrew Plimer.
