Yesterday (28/08/05) at Newell Beach near Mossman NQ. I observed for the first time three species of Friarbirds feeding in an urban grevillea.
Helmeted Friarbirds are very common and the dominant species at any nectar source locally along any coastal region.
Little and Noisy Frairbirds seldom occurr out of inland eucalypt habitat however on this ocassion two Little and a single Noisy were also present.
There was no adverse interaction between the birds.
