Must admit that I would have gone for an 'accipiter' hawk and judging by the tail-shape would have plumped for Brown Goshawk. Surely the wings are far too short for any falcon?
The pale-feathers on the back are often seen on juveniles sparrowhawks and goshawks but I'm not sure that I've seen this on young falcons.
