Once at West Wyalong cemetery, I saw a Tawny Frogmouth roost a metre off the ground on a fence and under. I walked up to it and gave it a pat. It did not seem that bothered either.

Hi Andrew

We recently had a Tawny Frogmouth roosting on a log in front of the Broome Bird Observatory office which was about 10cm off the ground. The next day he was around 1 metre off the ground at a nearby site and was frequently found roosting within 1.5 metres from the ground on several occassions since.
