Hi Rob,

I've found the most reliable spot to be along the road to Point Kirk.  When you head down Beach Rd towards the boat ramp, there is a road off to your right that heads down to Point Kirk. As soon as you turn onto the road, there is a grassy embankment running the length of the road. There are usually some around the first 100 metres of the embankment, but anywhere along the road and around the general Point Kirk area is pretty good.

Good luck

Peter

[BIRDING-AUS] RFI: Striated Fieldwren at Werribee or nearby

Hi All.

Heading down to the Werribee Treatment Works next week, looking for Orange-bellied Parrots. But would also like to pick up the Striated Fieldwren. I note the it is given as a common breeding resident in the Bird Checklist that came with my Permit and wonder if someone can give me info on the best places to see it at the Works, or places nearby.

Thanks in advance,
