Am heading off to Sri Lanka on a family holiday. Will only be able to get in
a day or two of dedicated birding so I have baulked at the prospect of
paying $100 for Harrison's "Field Guide to the Birds of Sri Lanka".
I note that there is also available Kazmierczak and van Perlo's "A Field
Guide to the Birds of the Indian Subcontinent", which costs $75. And also
other Indian field guides that include Sri Lankan birds
I was hoping somebody out there might know something about the two books
and/or others?
Would the $25 saving be a false economy?
Is there a cheap but adequate alternative?
Kind Regards
Mark Whittaker
