Neville Pamment and Marjorie Pegler are in Alice chasing the Grey Honeyeater at Olive Pink Botanic Gardens. Last week I was told by a couple who had been out to Glen Helen birding that they had seen several Painted Finches at the Gorge itself.

Yesterday Neville and Marjorie went out there hoping to see the Painted Finch. He tells me that there were around 150 birds in the area between the lodge and the gorge,  including one flock of 80 birds.
