My first record of Bulbuls at Avondale College, on the banks of Dora Creek,
(as opposed to Dora Ck township) was on 5th November 2001. I have seen them
there regularly since then. All my sightings there have been in one
localised area of introduced plants, especially in or near a woody shrub
that gets purplish black berries. Not sure what the plant is but it isn't
Privet. I vaguely remember having seen them at a holiday camp south of
Swansea on outings with the HBOC in the late eighties but I could be
mistaken. Alan Stuart or Sue Hamonet would be able to verify this, or not,
as the case may be.
