Thought you might be interested to know how good this area was for
birdwatching over the weekend , despite the horrific wind. We had some NZ
birdo visitors who were absolutely delighted with what they saw, although
somewhat shocked at the weather as we tried to keep balanced in the wind.

Water in the paddock was widespread, bit more than a football oval, and
with much mud around the edges, but it was quite easy to walk around the
paddock with close views of the waders-
Australian Shelduck
Wood Duck
Pacific Black Duck
Australasian Shoveller
Chestnut Teal
Hoary headed Grebe
Little Pied Cormorant
White-faced Heron
Royal Spoonbill
Eurasian Coot
Red-necked Stint
Sharp-tailed Sandpiper
Black-winged Stilt
Red-capped Plover
Double-banded Plover
Black-fronted Dotterel
Red-kneed Dotterel
Masked Lapwing
