Hi all,

from a Aussie birder I understood that somebody collects all the Needletail sightings in Australia this season if you put them on this list. Up until now I didn't bother reporting Needletails if I came across them, not even in my weblog so here are all the Needletail sightings of my recent trip:

10-1-05: a flock of about 10 birds at Reed Lookout in the Grampions NP (Vic)
20-1-05: about 5 over the Capertee Valley (NSW)
26-1-05: over 20 birds at Borah Creek (reserve) near Barraba (NSW)
30-1-05: about 5 over Lamington NP (Q)
3-2-05: 2 over Lady Elliot Island (Q)
5-2-05: 40-50 over Boondal Wetlands, Brisbane (Q)

hope this helps

greetings

Simon Plat
