BlankHi Birders,

The Yellow Wagtail reported recently on Sydney"s "Birdline" was seen by
Dennis Arnold, Viv Coleman and others on 5/2/05 on a regular outing, a few
hundred metres down the road from Stannix Park. It was seen in a low bush at
the edge of a paddock near some water and flew away, out of sight not long
after the people present had managed to get their binoculars on it. I
understand that the bird seen had a yellow throat, a white eye stripe and a
darkish crown, bright yellow breast and underparts, greenish back and
upperparts and wagged its tail up and down. None of the people who saw this
bird have had previous encounters with Yellow Wagtails. They had no trouble
identifying in the field guides on hand.

Murray Lord & Rod Gardner from Birdline would be interested in hearing as to
whether the bird has been seen since.
