Hello Jack
I too feel that there has been a reduction in the numbers of Channel-billed Cuckoos in my area around St.Ives this season .The numbers of Pied Currawongs also have been noticeably fewer the past two years. Gone are the large congregations that were common in the past . My largest count for one flock about 5 years ago , was 142 gathered for a" Currawong Chorus" in the trees about my house I am still hearing CB's , Koels and Dollar Birds, but with the exception of the Dollar Bird , they are not as enthusiastic as they were earlier in the season.

Yesterday morning I heard a Channel-billed Cuckoo calling, as it was flying across Willoughby Bay in North Cremorne.

This summer there have been fewer sighting of these birds , although there were several Koels around.
