Hi Reid,

I have been using an Olympus C740 which has a 10x zoom lens (380 mm
equivalent) but is only 3.2 megapixels. I also have the Olympus TCON17
teleconverter which brings the lens up to 640 mm and is ideal for birding
(albeit with a tripod).

The 3.2 megapixels is a bit low, however the newer model Olympus C770 has 4
megapixels, and has a remote control device which with hindsight would have
been a much better model for birding, it takes the same teleconverter.
