Hi Phil

I wish that I could have any optimism left for a favourable outcome to this most shocking act of vandalism by what is clearly a morally bankrupt government.

A really bad aspect to this whole deal appears to be that continuing with it has been as much a "face saving" exercise as anything which could be possibly deemed "practical".  This is clear, because the original intentions for the project were demonstrated to be so flawed that they were dropped long ago. Now, it's any excuse they can possibly dream up to go on with it. This means that logic, science, fairness, or whatever will be out the window, along with the millions of birds and other life-forms which rely on this area, just so a few fools wont be socially embarrassed.

Yes, you bet I'm angry about this!
