In response to Mark Roberts posting from 27 Oct. requesting advice on bug
and other field guides I offer the following for the information of list
members.

These are some recent books purchased that I've found quite useful for my
(non-marine) travels in south eastern Australia.

Scorpions commonly found in Victoria. Royal Society of Victoria:

southeastern Australia. Oxford University Press: Melbourne.
3. Gooderham, J. and Tsyrlin, .E (2002) The Waterbug Book: A guide to the
freshwater macroinverebrates of temperate Australia. Melbourne Water,
Hydro Tasmania and EPA Victoria. CSIRO Publishing: Collingwood.

Non-vascular flora
1. Meagher, D. M. and Fuhrer, B. (2003) A Field Guide to the Mosses &
allied plants of southern Australia. Australian Biological Resources Study
& Field Naturalists Club of Victoria.
2. Fuhrer, B. (2001) A Field Companion to Australian Fungi. Revised
edition. Bloomings Books: Hawthorn (Melbourne)..
