Hi Carol,

I always enjoy your local listings.

For your information, Sacred Kingfishers are also very common this year
alongside the Nepean in Penrith, I saw three pairs simultaneously cavorting
among the riverside trees last week.

I saw a Peregrine take a Masked Lapwing chick from Jamieson Park, Penrith at
dusk recently, the parents who had been very attentive of the chick for
several weeks took off after the Falcon with a great deal of noise and
anger, but of course they were too late. The lapwings have not been back to
the park since.
