Hi Shane,
The hawaiian thrush may refer to Kama'o from Kauai
Island and the Hawaiian Crow is extinct in the wild
with a few individuals surviving in captivity.
The situation in Australia is not much better. I
remember reading some reference in 80's that Norfolk
Island Thrush was endangered but is it extinct now? Is
Norfolk Island race of Boobook Owl considered
'extinct'?
Does anyone know the recent status of White-breasted
Silvereye and Coxen's Fig-parrot?
I first came across White-breasted Silvereye from the
very beautiful stamps of Norfolk Island. They may soon
end up to exist on paper only.
