A white headed pigeon was observed this morning, hanging around a neighbour's balcony and in adjacent trees. It seemed to be attracted to its own image in the windows and at times actually perched on the window sill. The Bend of Islands is a 'Residential Conservation' area about 30 k's ne of Melbourne, adjacent to the Yarra, between Eltham and Yarra Glen.
