interested if anyone else had."

Torresian Crows I believe take a lot of eggs and young from a wide range of
birds from nests on our campus. I blame them for taking the young of Papuan
Frogmouths just yesterday. I have spend a whole night + parts of other nights
studying the incubation behaviour of this pair and it is disappointing to
experience such losses. My other pair under study are still doing well -
though they lost both their last years attempts - I believe to Crows as they
were around in increased numbers at the time and were hunting through the trees
looking for nests.

Yesterday a Torresian Crow set off my Ecotrap that is set for cats and so I
nearly got him but their reflexes are very fast and he beat the trap. My wife
saw it fly away.

Corvids have to eat something and here when they are eating nestlings I guess
they are leaving the farms watermelons alone. There has to be a good side to
it!

Cheers

Mike
