Well almost - CBD that is!
        Small pond at the end of Gilchrist Ave, the suburb is probably
listed as Herston - just on the border of Spring Hill. 
        Yesterday (Thursday) morning on my 48th visit in 2 years - up popped
an immature (I think- rather than a female? as it's all brown) Black-backed
or Little Bittern.
        I have made a habit of spending a quick 15 minutes, as often as I
can before work, at this relatively newly created pond - heavy reedbeds may
prevent further sightings - checked this morning again - no sign.
