The first Koel has arrived at Bolton Point near Toronto this afternoon.
Other species have yet to arrive. Even though Dollar Birds are in the local
area the resident birds for here haven't arrived and the same for the Sacred
Kingfishers.


On another note when I was in Cunnamulla in July I came across an emu nest
with at least a dozen eggs and this week my sister saw an emu family of 13
new chicks on the property. She was also lucky enough to see a Crimson Chat.
