Just after reading Debbie Saunders' email this afternoon about Swifties still moving about the northern part of their winter range, I had a phone call from Sandra Boxsell saying she has at least 12 Swift Parrots in her backyard at Mt Pleasant (near Penrith in western Sydney). They were in flowering stringybarks (E. eugenioides) along with Little Lorikeets and Noisy Miners and have been there for about three days. I suggest any birders in western Sydney especially keep a look out in other likely spots.
