Baradine and the Pilliga Scrub

The Pilliga has a wonderful display of flowers now,  and the birds 
aren't bad either. We got a fair list over 5 days, highlights being two 
Glossy black cockatoos,  two Red-chested button quail,  a pair of 
turquoise parrots, and a flock, estimated to be a hundred or so, of 
Striated pardalotes. We counted 30 going into one tree.
.Camp Cypress, on the outskirts of the town was a good place to stay. A 
Springtime visit is recommended.
