memory card problems

Thanks to Carl Clifford, Koren Mitchell, and Nevil Lazarus for their quick responses. Following the failure of run-of-the mill recovery I have taken Nevil's advice and have sent the card to Payam data recovery in Sydney who think they have a reasonable chance of recovering at least some images. Fingers crossed!
