Hi Birders,
Having been away inDarwin and the Top End of the Northern Territory for the
past two weeks, i was interested in seeing whether the Swift Parrots would
be around on my return. The first monring that we were back and having
morning tea on the patio, tyhere were 8-10 feeding in the Blackbutts around
the house and later that morning, when getting a few basic groceries at the
shops in Bateau Bay Rd, East Bateau Bay, there were some more around Sutton
Reserve.

A proper check was carried out today and about 30 were located in the SE
corner of Sutton Reserve and in Lakin Avenue between Parkside Ave & Point St
Bateau Bay, where there are still some Swamp Mahogany in flower, most birds
being seen in Lakin Street. Still 8-10 around Murray Sts & Bangalow Sts
Bateau Bay. All up about 40+ birds at Bateau Bay.
