I have seen Spotted Pardalotes nesting in Sydney a few times in the middle of winter, including a possible breeding pair at Turramurra near the Fruit-dove site yesterday.

Cheers!

HI All,

I was surprised to see a Spotted Pardalote entering a nest hole at Audley in the Royal NP this morning (July 4). I see the Morcombe Field Guide suggests a breeding season from June to January, but it still seems very early to be breeding - it was 6 degrees at my place the other night!
