I took a couple of American visitors to the Western Treatment Plant,
Werribee, this morning (Friday 23 April) for a quick visit of three and
a half hours, covering Paradise Road, Lake Borrie, the conservation area
and the borrow pits. It rained virtually all the time but we were very
comfortable birding from the car. We managed a total of 63 species with
the highlights being a Peregrine Falcon at Paradise Road ponds, a single
Blue-winged Parrot flushed from the road along the beach and possibly
the same individual perched in a tree at the conservation area, an
Arctic Jaeger flying over the lagoons near the beach and a Lewin's Rail
on the track on the south side of the conservation area. Full list
below.

Regards,

Tania
