Hi All

Paid homage to the Autumn Sunshine God yesterday and pottered around the
Central Coast NSW (1.5 hour drive north of Sydney).

Most enjoyable was the Patonga area, where the heath had some nice flowers and
6 Brown Quails (4 females and 2 males) graced
me by foraging at the roadside only 3 metres away, providing extended and CLOSE
views of their plumage.

Tuggerah Sewage Works had at one end low, rank reeds and and lots of weeds at
one end, which were a haven for several
Red-Browed Finches, Golden-headed Cisticola and Variegated Fairy-wren.

Autumn terrestrial orchids are out, with Pterostylis acuminata in flower in a
few places (a greenhood orchid).

Cheers and Happy Times with Nature
