Hi all,
Yesterday, 20 Jan 2004 [that form of the date is so that our American cousins
understand correctly,
:-)], while on a photographic 'mission' to my local beach, I spotted a
'sandpiper' with a
strange-shaped bill amongst the mixed flock of shorebirds cautiously
waiting-out the very high-tide.

'Caution' is very necessary in that area where true nature-lovers are thin on
the ground but loose
dogs and 'fun-loving' humans abound.

Back to the strange bill........
My heart-beat definitely increased on initial sighting but what was it?
I thought I would share the sighting with everyone by placing a couple of
images on my web-site.
