G'day Gary,

January is not a good time to be on the Birdsville track. The
temperature in Birdsville reached 49C on consecutive days this week.
Not conditions if you have a breakdown. Make sure you carry lots of
water and that someone knows where to look for you if you disappear.

Regards, Laurie.

have also heard of a new system where one can sign in and get a
key.Lastly, weare noteven sure the place is accessible on weekends.

We will then head north forweek on theBirdsville Track.
Wewouldappreciate any assistance for access to Penrice, whether Fairy Terns are indeed present, and of course any recent news aboutthe
