My wife and I are flying into Adelaide from Bangkok, arriving 8AM Saturday January 17. We would like to stop at Penrice to look for a Fairy Tern, but I understand that someone local guide is required. But we have also heard of a new system where one can sign in and get a key. Lastly, we are not even sure the place is accessible on weekends. We will then head north for week on the Birdsville Track. We would appreciate any assistance for access to Penrice, whether Fairy Terns are indeed present, and of course any recent news about the birds or conditions on the Birdsville Track.
