Doug Torr reported 3 Brolgas at the T Section lagoons at the Western
Treatment Plant, Werribee yesterday. He queried whether the pair that
nested earlier last year had successfully raised their chick. They did!
This is the first time, to my knowledge, that foxes have not got the
chick. We saw the three birds together on a number of occasions towards
the end of 2003, including on the BOCA bird count on the first weekend
in December, and once since then.
