For anyone near the Central Coast region of Australia interested in getting up close and personal with Peregrine falcons:

The other week down at Wondabye (on the banks of Mullet Creek, a tributary of the Hawkesbury system) went for a walk up behind the station and south along the ridge. Not far along we were accosted by two very angry peregrines who just circled and swooped while crying out for us to get the hell away from their territory. Later on, sitting on the small jetty there we witnessed aerobatic displays as they fought off two or three other small unidentified raptors (perhaps more peregrines?).

Anyone wanting to get a good look at these birds would be wise to spend a day in Wondabyne. (Keep your eye for out for a sea turtle in Mullet Creek too!! That was a surprise.)
