Hi, Followed-up on the Franklin's Gull sighting reported by Tony Palliser. Walked the cliff-tops between Little Bay and Cape Banks. By mid-morning there were hundreds of Silver Gulls around, particularly on the adjacent golf courses that dominate the area, but no sign of the FG. I have been told that the bird was only seen in flight, which raises a question mark over its affiliation with this area? Hopefully someone will find it again and a pattern of behaviour can be established, as occurred with the Laughing Gull on Bribie Island, giving us a chance to see another Australian vagrant.
