Hi All,

Last month i advised an incident concerning a Praying Mantis capturing alive, killing and partially eating a Singing Honeyeater at El Questro Station in WA. I have now been advised  that the bird in question was not a Singing Honeyeater but rather it was a Brown Honeyeater.
Not quite as impressive, but still quite remarkable.

Evidently previous cases have been observed of a mantis capturing and attempting to eat a frog and another incident involving a fairy-wren.

Best Regards  Wynton Maddeford
