There were 2 Olive-backed Orioles seen at Banyule

A white phase Grey Goshawk was seen twice being
pursued by Magpies over Pakenham Road, Cockatoo, thanks Noel Billing.
There was a pair of Diamond Firetails observed at
the Canni Creek Racecourse, south of Buchan, thanks Len Axen.
There were hundreds of Silvereyes are feeding in
the flowering Capeweed along the Avon river at Bushy Park (mainly Vic. birds
with a smattering of Tassie birds), thanks Duncan Fraser.
There was a Grey Currawong in a Kurrajong tree at
Ceres in East Brunswick, thanks Wendy Moore.
There were 5 Blue-Billed Ducks & 14
Whiskered Terns at the Pakenham waste water treatment plant
(Sewerage Farm), thanks Graham Beal.
A Black Falcon was seen in the Yallock Creek
area, Westernport Bay, thanks Graham Beal & Andrew Silcocks.
There was returning a Dollarbird at Chiltern,
thanks Sean Dooley.
A female Little Bittern has returned to Moonstone
Walk Wetlands, Bundoora, thanks Sean Dooley.
There was 1 Elegant Parrot, 3 Rufous
Calamanthus and several White-winged Fairy-wrens at
Lake Tyrrell, thanks John Harris.
At Northern Wyperfeld NP near the Meridian Track and Casuarinas
Campsite highlights of a trip included Crimson Chat,
Elegant Parrot and Striped Honeyeater as well
as unusually high numbers of parrots, including Major Mitchell
Cockatoo, Regent Parrot, Blue Bonnet,
Mulga Parrot, Little Corella, and high numbers
of White-winged Triller, Rufous and
Brown Songlark. There was also Redthroat on
the Lake Brambuck Walk, Southern Wyperfeld, thanks Tim Dolby.
2 light morph Little Eagles soaring high over the
Avon River at Bushy Park near Boisdale, thanks Duncan Fraser.
21 SeptemberThere was a Great Knot feeding along the beach at
Seaford Melways 97 C11, it may be the same as the one reported at Rickett's
Point 16/9, thanks Aidan Sudbury.
