Philip,

I would certainly agree with this and that is why i believe the birds locked talons. It is certainly good to see people speaking on this subject.

Yours Sincerely

The two birds (sex unknown) plummeted to the earth and flew back up to the tree and had a fight again this time the victor flew away while the looser was injured and shorley either someone picked up the bird or it was taken by a predator as it was unable to fly due the injury it had sustained.

> With Regaurds to the poison theory put forward by the two vets it is quite easy to justify and agree with. One reason for this follows. When we eat something or inhale something that is not good for us we are poisoning ourselves even if we do not know that what we are eating is not good for us. Smoking for example is poisoning many peoples bodies. When we think of the prey items such as fish and anything else the two eagles would have eaten we have to remember that small amounts of poison is building up in those prey items due to pollution such as sinkers which are letting of dangerous amounts of lead of which the fish are taking in. Over a period of time the poison the fish or other prey items have injested stays inside the body of the bird/s which have eaten them and thus it builds up in some cases killing the birds. In actual fact we all have some level of poisons in us due to the things we do in life and where we live. It's just a fact some suffer from it more than others. This maybe why many vets put unknown deaths down to poison because they have found it in the birds body. This is not to say that they didn't die of poisoning. Apologies reguarding how i put that statement (i am quite tired) i have been up 24 hours straight.
