I am not qualified to answer the questions posed but would like to add the

Further to the south, near the mouth of the Logan River, a prawn farm has
been established. The prawns are bred in large dams next to the river, with
water being circulated to and from the river. This area has unusually large
numbers of Crested Terns and Silver Gulls. My visits are short as we pass
the prawn farm to visit some friends who live further along towards the
mouth of the river. I assume that if more time was spent there, other
species would also be highly visible.

Whether a similar increase in species would occur around a fish farm, I am
again not qualified to answer but common sense would seem to indicate that
it would.
