For the interest of, mainly Victorian, members of the list, the following
species of bird have been added to the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act (FFG
Act) as threatened taxa.

 Chestnut-rumped Heathwren
 Diamond Dove
 Red-chested Button-Quail
 Shy Albatross
 Southern Royal Albatross
 Wandering Albatross
 Light-mantled Albatross
 Buller's Albatross
 Indian Yellow-nosed Albatross
 Grey-headed Albatross

Each species has a short Recommendation Report which outlines how they meet
the criteria for listing under the FFG Act.

The following potentially threatening process has also been added to the
Act:
'The discharge of human-generated marine debris into Victorian marine or
                             estuarine waters'

This process affects a large number of pelagic fauna, particularly seabirds
and cetaceans.

Reports are available from me. Please contact me directly and supply a
postal address (or have access to Adobe, to read pdf files) if interested.

cheers
